Sioux Falls Police are searching for a man accused of cutting another man in the head.
At around 4 a.m., a roommate knocked on a window of a house on the 1000 block of South Second Avenue because he forgot a key. A man got up and opened the backdoor to the house.
While outside, the 48-year-old victim made a comment that the suspect should get a key. Police said that's when the 26-year-old suspect pulled out a knife and cut the victim in the head. The injury is estimated to be about 10 inches long.
The suspect then tried to strangle the victim before he ran away. Police said the victim was treated and released from a hospital.
