A new event next month is set up as a way to say "thank you" to first responders across the state.
South Dakota Salutes plans a two-day event at Hunter's Pointe shooting complex in Humboldt. Organizers plan to invite law enforcement, EMT's, Fire and military members to a shooting skills competition.
"We want to tell them to register early and know that we're doing this because we appreciate what they're doing for us," Tony Bour of South Dakota Salutes said.
