After a few rain delays, renovations at Badlands Motor Speedway are racing to a finish.
Owner Chuck Brennan is spending millions of dollars to spruce things up. He says fans will be in for a whole new experience when the track opens for the season on Saturday night. From new concession stands and bleachers to additional restrooms, Brennan says the facility has never been better.
"The plumbing and the lights and the electricity and everything is going. We're going to open at about 70 percent of everything being done. Then over the next 2-3 weeks we'll just be buttoning things up during the week. So we'll be at 100-percent in no time," Brennan said.
669 silver bars worth more than $100,000 will be doled out to winning drivers on Saturday night.
