Police are looking for a cyclist after a reported bike crash on a Sioux Falls trail.

At around 3 p.m. March 6, Sioux Falls Police spokesperson Sam Clemens said a 24-year-old woman was walking with friends near the Elmen Park Trailhead at West 12th Street.

In a late report to police on April 13, the woman said a cyclist had hit her with his bike.

Clemens said the crash threw the woman airborne and she landed on her back. The cyclist reportedly stopped to check to see if she was okay, but rode away shortly after.

The injuries were described as extensive, and included torn ligaments and a broken clavicle.

Clemens is asking the public for information about the man involved in the crash.

The cyclist was described as a white man between 40 to 50 years old with a thin, muscular build and big nose. He was last seen wearing a neon green shirt and a black helmet, and riding a black bicycle.
