It's been a big weekend for South Dakota State Fans as the women advance to the second round in the NCAA tournament.
Pumped up fans had been coming in and out of Cubby's Sports Bar all day. Many are still taking in the big win.
Jacks fans came in wearing their signature school apparel. Some still can't believe the jacks beat the University of Miami.
"We were all cheering on the couch, super excited! We were like. I can't believe they actually just won," Rachel Swan said.
It's a big day for SDSU and the city of Brookings overall. People here have been closely following the women's progress in the NCAA Championship.
"It was super impressive, they played Miami University. It puts Brookings on the map. People start talking about you more when you win a game in a tournament like that," Sean Campbell said.
Many fans say they were willing to support the Jacks win or lose. But now that the women's team has advanced to the second round, they're hoping they continuing climbing up the bracket.
"The girls are amazing basketball players, and they work really hard. Why settle for second round if they can make third round? If they can keep going further, I think they should keep going for it," Katie Peterson said.
Now some fans say they're crossing their fingers, hoping for another big win.
