Ever since we learned Sioux Falls murder suspect Garrett Solorzano was in the United States Army we've been doing a little digging.
If you remember, according to two of his neighbors, Solorzano told them he was an Army Ranger who served 5 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
KELOLAND News told you we were waiting on the Army to get his service verification for us.
We got it and it shows Solorzano served with the 101st Airborne Division, but he only was deployed twice; once to Kuwait in 2004 and again to Iraq in 2007.
The military also says his records indicate he was never an Army Ranger or that he served in a Ranger unit.
Solorzano is facing first degree murder charges for allegedly killing his wife early Saturday morning.
