A rally and march is planned Sunday in memory of a 24-year-old woman who died while in the custody of the Brown County Jail.
Since the death of Sarah Lee Circle Bear, questions have raised about whether she was properly cared for in jail.
Autopsy reports show that Circle Bear died from a methamphetamine overdose. The state Division of Criminal Investigation determined that jail personnel acted appropriately while dealing with Circle Bear and that she did not indicate to jail staff that she had taken drugs.
Circle Bear's father and others have disagreed, saying she was mistreated and it took a while for people to come to her aid.
The rally and march begins at 1 p.m. at Central Park.
