The two people killed in a fiery plane crash Friday morning in Turner County have been identified by authorities.
Sixty-four-year-old Allen Bucholz and his granddaughter, 14-year-old Destiny Karpinen, both of Tea, were killed when their plane crashed into a cornfield Friday morning.
Bucholz was piloting a AVES Douglas James RV6 fixed-wing single-engine plane. It crashed and burst into flames just after 10 a.m Friday morning in a corn field near Viborg, SD.
The National Transportation Safety Board is still investigating the cause. The plane has been inspected and removed from the corn field.
