A garage fire in west Sioux Falls was extinguished before it could reach the rest of the home.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue were called at around 3:30 a.m. Thursday for a reported fire in the 7200 block of West Rough Rider Circle. When crews got there, they saw heavy fire and smoke coming from a three-stall attached garage. The fire was put out after about 30 minutes.
Everyone inside the home was able to escape and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Four fire trucks, two support vehicles and 18 personnel responded to the fire. Fire Rescue received assistance from Sioux Falls Police, Paramedics Plus, MidAmerican Energy and Xcel Energy.
