Attorney General Marty Jackley has announced that a Hot Springs police officer was justified in firing his weapon and injuring a 20-year-old man last month.
The report released Thursday says officers arrived at a home on North 22nd Street that day for a domestic dispute between Huff and a woman. She had accused Huff of choking her.
During the incident, Huff approached the officers with a knife. After refusing to put the weapon down, Officer Maciejewski fired his gun twice, hitting Huff. Huff survived his injuries.
