U.S. Attorney Randolph Seiler says a 38-year-old Rapid City man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Jason Barton was indicted in February 2015 and pleaded guilty to the charge in January 2016. He was sentenced by Chief Judge Jeffrey Viken last week.
Prosecutors say that Barton conspired with others to distribute, and distributed more than 500 grams of methamphetamine within South Dakota.
Barton was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
