A new generation of NBA players could be teaming up to join the Toon Squad.
Rumors are swirling about a possible sequel to 1996's "Space Jam," which starred basketball legend Michael Jordan.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Justin Lin has been selected as the project's director. He, along with Andrew Dodge and Alfredo Botello, will start working on a script for "Space Jam 2."
Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James is expected to star in the sequel after reportedly signing a deal back in July 2015 with Warner Bros. He received good reviews after starring in the Amy Schumer comedy "Trainwreck."
There's no word if the Quad City DJs are set to return, as well.
