Aberdeen investigators continue to look for a woman who has been missing more than a week.
Police captain Eric Duven says 30-year-old Pah Pow hasn't been seen since April 17.
Police are putting a lot of resources into finding the mother of four, Duven said. The time she's been missing is nearing two weeks.
"We're approaching this case very seriously. There's a lot of questions that remain regarding the circumstances of how she left," Duven said.
Duven can't explain what those circumstances are, given the ongoing investigation.
He will say police are concerned for her safety. Still, he won't confirm if investigators suspect criminal activity connected with her disappearance.
"I can't comment on that specifically, but we are very hopeful that we'll find Pah Pow safe and unharmed," Duven said.
She was last seen at her home in the southeast part of Aberdeen. Police received a missing person report more than a week later.
The explanation police have for the delay is that family thought she was staying with friends. Friends thought she was with family. Then she didn't show up to work at the beef plant, which police say was uncharacteristic of her.
Police have been involved since the beginning of this week.
"At this point the leads that we have followed up on have not proven to be productive," Duven said.
Police have asked for help over social media, posting pictures and a description of Pah Pow. That post has hundreds of shares but investigators need more information. They're talking with family, neighbors and co-workers of the 30-year-old.
"Time is always of the essence in any investigation that we're working, in particular missing persons investigations, so that's why we're currently dedicating all of our resources toward locating her," Duven said.
Aberdeen police are asking anyone with information to let them know through Facebook or the police department app.
