A car dealer is hoping to catch vandals he says have caused nearly $100,000 worth of damage. Honest Dan's is located on West 12th Street in Sioux Falls.

The cars on his lot are more than just vehicles to owner Dan Iseminger.

"I'm just crushed," Iseminger said.

They are how he puts food on the table.

"I'm working my tail off to try to make this a success and I'm just being pounded by these vandals and these people who are trying to run me out of business," Iseminger said.

You can spot several dents, broken taillights and holes in windshields. This all began in October.

Iseminger says people are kicking the cars, scratching them and even shooting the windshields with pellet guns.  So far, he says the months-worth of damage adds up to about $85,000.

"It's just very disheartening," Iseminger said.

Iseminger says he is also been seeing drivers race through his lot to cut corners at red lights near his business.  In fact, our news cameras caught people doing this on Monday night. Not only is it illegal, it's also getting dangerous.

"It almost killed my 11-year-old daughter.  They missed her by about four inches," Iseminger said.

In addition to working with police, Iseminger has installed a new security system which he hopes will stop people from ruining his business.

"I'm just trying to make a living.  I'm not trying to make a killing on these cars.  I'm just trying to make a living and get along peacefully," Iseminger said.
