A local volunteer with the American Red Cross is making his second trip this spring to help flood victims in the South.
Rich Rhoades left Sioux Falls Friday for Houston, Texas, where he'll help out at a warehouse to assist families who've lost so much to the high water. Rhoades was already on flood duty in Houston earlier this month.
"I didn't get out to see a lot of the damage. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to see more damage this trip, although I hate to see the damage, but it's nice to be able to meet the people," Rhoades said.
Rhoades found out just Thursday that he's being sent to Texas. He'll return home to Sioux Falls in two weeks.
