Three student groups in Sioux Falls are being honored by the public affairs network C-SPAN.
The network's bus rolled into town to recognize students who are winners of C-SPAN's national StudentCam competition.
Out of 3,000 entries, 150 were chosen for the honors. Two groups of sixth graders from Edison Middle School were presented with awards in front of a school assembly.
The groups produced 5 to 7-minute videos asking the presidential candidates to focus on education in the race to the White House.
"Time management, scheduling, getting along as a group. That's something that we still deal with in the workplace. As adults we deal with that every day. So you guys are learning very valuable life skills," C-SPAN spokeswoman La'Shawna Stain-Preux said.
The bus also stopped by Patrick Henry to honor seventh-grader Erin Bickett for a video titled, "College: Expensive Choices Ahead."
